I have just finished my first lap with my Android phone using the new workout app form Adidas. Here is what I think of the app.

So I was just out running. How do I feel? Tired. My legs feels heavy and just as they should after a workout. My back and forehead is wet from my sweat and my mouth feel dry. Successful workout? Yes I think so!
I am trying to move my ass a little more often and has tested a lot of running apps. It started with Nike+ on my ipod and Nike+ shoes. This software was great. I liked the design on the website and they had a workout programs. The only thing missing was GPS. I have read that it works on Iphone not on Android and I cant switch to Iphone now that I have started to like Android.
So I switched to other GPS based apps. The first I tested was Buddyrunner which was a good program. You can share with your friends and stuff. Thats good. I then tested Endomondo and RunKeeper. Both great apps. But all of them were missing the training programs to do better and to push you to run faster. And still nothing from Nike+ for Android…
Then I one day found miCoach from Adidas on Andorid Market. So I tested it as well. I registered at their website, downloaded the app and synced my phone and miCoach website. It looked good. The webpage was easy to navigate so I did set up some goals. So for the next 80 weeks I am going to run my 5K faster.
I was out just now and finished my first two runs. The first run was just an assessment for 12 minutes to learn miCoach your different running zones. I misplaced my zones alot so on my next run I got stuck and had to give in after 30 minutes. But the coaching for those 30 minutes was great. It is really motivating to have this guy pushing you.
I must say that I will stick with miCoach for a long time! The only thing missing is sharing your workouts with friends and be able to race on the same routes as your friends. This is also a great motivation factor. But all in all miCoach is a really good app! Your should get it test it and run faster! Go go!
You can download the app here and the miCoach website is here. Happy training!
